Time Nick Message I'm looking at Trizbort, but I don't see a straight-forward way to export to a friendly format. Is "text" a command? How the heck do other people map large cities and zones?
Do they do them all by hand, keep them in their head, and THEN use a mapper to create an image? I would imagine a visual editor for building rooms would be pretty high up on the tool list. Or am I crazy? The default nickname replace when evennia did its conversion was just to copy the regex and template as the two fields, which works if they're plain text.
So some of my players can't log in until I wipe their nicknames. I really should have gotten rid of all of them Was it you, Volund?
Trizbort's what I use. Just write a little Python script to parse the XML for what you want out of it and dice bot coming soon bot for compactor it into a build script for Evennia. It's kinda similar to building with MUSHroom Was just initially wondering if there was a better option I was missing or someone had already written that script somewhere.
There's generally a road through the center of each block, with a sidewalk on each side, and businesses beyond those. It's very grid-like and much easier to manage with a visual editor. It's still feasible doing it 'by-hand', it would just take a lot longer and I already have one made. A straight translation from physical space to rooms As rooms are separate and isolated, by having rooms represented in such a dice bot coming soon bot for compactor two people standing effectively right next to each other might be in different rooms and can't see or communicate with each other I should add more gravity to the spaces and condense them for the sake of user sanity and possibility of interaction.
The physical space isn't what makes the room, dice bot coming soon bot for compactor why it's important. I'll probably just have to create relevant exits for each business on each room for each side of the relevant block. Throw on some rooms and mark the area they're supposed to represent.
Feel free to give the channel here a look and we might be able to provide some feedback before you put too much work into it. I was literally in the exact same place and fell into the exact same trap: It makes mine easier to detect. I'll let you know what I come up with, if I get far enough. Where can I see what you're working on? Besides, the Pokemon company has been reasonably understanding of fan dice bot coming soon bot for compactor. Nindys a pussy cat. Primarily probability of spawn on entry.
But also limited numbers of persistent npc mobs and miniquest specific spawns. They might dislike a trainer who previously failed to catch them, or like a trainer who treated them well.
Not that I've actually played it much. But this is for the stage after I've recreated the gameboy games and I'm expanding on it. There will be mini quests like ratata infestations and such. How you handle those would be remembered by the persistent individuals. This fixes channel aliases not working while in an OOC state. This is a good argument, hadn't considered that the two don't collide due to the enforced arg restriction. Change the channel cmdset prio tosame as Exits as per Minor tweaks to fix a portal traceback during handshake.
It's irrelevant to this Mudlet issue, but it was confusing and I've fixed it now. Mudlet is currently in [active development dice bot coming soon bot for compactor https: Like dice bot coming soon bot for compactor storage, as an example. I think the client should probably inform the user if some particular feature is not supported by their browser, but IF there is a more compatible way to do things, that should be used preferentially.
If I ever finish a lib design, I'm going to totally ignore telnet and be websocket only. I can understand - so many buggy and diverse clients out there that are difficult to have to support. Nt played with scripting it, it was installed on another machine yrs ago - but I'd had more joy with alclient and making it does what I wants in terms o scirpting.
I used to use 2MB of data a month via command line. Yeah, but not in the traditional sense, whitenoise. Cats on the keyboard executing random code. Here's a piano I wrote once in websockets But the cat wants to play whitenoise's piano app.
No need to design a new protocol for the webclient to get mini-maps etc; you can do that already now in the Evennia web client if you wanted to. And tabbed or windowed clients already exist for telnet. If you are jrobertsgb, I gave some comments on your PR, in case you didn't see that. Sending plain JSON is as "raw" as it's going to get. I don't remember exactly either. I would have to re-reference the conversation in the logs If we wanted some default for our game we could just tweak the webclient directly.
I do not keep any demos up, I more come in and out and contribute little abstracted tidbits for people to use. Nothing is stopping you from doing anything at all. But maybe world does make more sense Hah, if there is no insult to find, let's invent one, eh? I do that in both directions! Just in the middle of play or when reconnecting to the game? Maybe something like how if the portal loses connection to server during a reload, everyone goes IC, but on an individual basis?
I'm just speculating, though That's kind of what I'm getting into. I'm just doing tutorials for Python. Taking it nice and easy before I jump into anything too big. But I like to sit in here to see what other ideas and things people are talking about. I'll let you know if I can figure out what triggers it They don't go OOC by the portal losing connection, really; if the connection loss is catastrophic there is no time to disconnect them. Sounds like a good plan.
But it's not a bad idea to try some tutorials too sooner rather than later, so as to see some stuff in action. Huh, So you don't allow multiple chars at all then? I think our userbase is diverging a bit from the really die-hard MUSHers, to be fair. RPIs are the best, so don't worry You have a running game? The index needs more entries!
